A 1-day class
This class is part of the Agile Testing Series.
Overview
Exploratory Testing is a style of testing in which you learn about the software while simultaneously designing and executing tests, using feedback from the last test to inform the next. In an Agile context, Exploratory Testing augments the extensive automated tests, giving us an opportunity to learn about the emergent behavior of the software.
This class introduces Session-Based Exploratory Testing as an Agile Testing practice, teaching participants how to write Charters and estimate Sessions as part of the story/feature discussions. Participants also learn about test design techniques and heuristics to improve the power of their explorations. Finally, participants learn how collaborative exploratory sessions can increase communication and feedback between the implementation team and the business stakeholders.
The 1-day version of this class is fast-paced in is particularly appropriate for those who already understand basic test design principles, or who just want an overview of Exploratory Testing. This class can also be offered in a more in-depth 2-day format that covers more test design techniques.
